Tag cloud는 주요 tag들을 한 곳에 모아 보여주는 인터랙션 패턴으로, 다른 이름으로는 word cloud가 있다. 각각의 tag가 해당 키워드에 관련된 페이지로 연결되어 있어 키워드 검색이나 메뉴 탐색을 보조한다.

사용자들이 특정 정보 컨텐르를 많이 이용하는 경우, 더 빠르게 탐색할 수 있는 지름길을 제공하는 패턴이 필요하다. Tag cloud는 해당 키워드를 이용하여 특정 컨텐츠를 탐색하는 과정을 용이하게 한다.
- 사용자들이 찾는 빈도수가 높은 tag들로 구성된다.
- 각 키워드의 중요도나 인기도에 따라 서체나 글자 색, 크기 등을 다르게 하여 시각적으로 차이를 두기도 한다.
- 주요 키워드를 한눈에 봄으로써 해당 앱(혹은 서비스)의 전체적인 주제나 분야를 파악할 수 있다.
